Our materials
Our collections are designed and crafted with integrity to last, classic silhouettes with decisive purpose and long-standing style. With an emphasis on sumptuous fabrication, naturally sourced fibres are the foundation of our collection, carefully considered fabrics chosen intentionally with respect to design and durability.
THE CURATED
In line with our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, we source all our fabric and yarns locally to the factory that uses them. Additionally, focusing on sourcing and using left over fabrication for limited runs to minimise our contribution to textile discard. In sourcing, it is important to us that our suppliers are environmentally certified and adhere to our high standard of ethics as outlined in our supplier Code of Conduct.
Cashmere
Cashmere is our signature fabrication across all collections. In careful consideration, we source expertly spun Royal Cashmere. Characteristically fine and soft, it is the highest grade of cashmere available. Cashmere makes up the entire composition of our knitwear and is carefully blended with wool in the artisanal crafting of our coat collection.
Our cashmere is OEKO-TEX® certified, as such, our sourced yarns and final garments adhere to the environmental and ethical standards upheld in this certification.
Wool
Wool is a signature fabrication in our coat collection. Carefully considered for its durability and warmth to structure our various coat silhouettes.
Our wool is RWS certified under the voluntary standard. The Responsible Wool Standard incentivises best practices in addressing the welfare of sheep and their environment.
Leather
Leather is used sparingly in our collection, sourced only from tanneries with responsible traceability and standards that meet our criteria.
All our leather is LWG Gold Certified. The Leather Working Group audit protocol is a tool to access the environmental performance of leather manufacturers. The LWG is focused on sustainable practices within the leather industry when it comes to chemical management, traceability, social responsibility and waste treatment.
Silk
Silk is a signature fabrication in our Spring and Summer seasonal collection. The silk filaments are very fine ensuring a lightweight fluidity and natural drape in our garments.
Cotton
Our cotton supplier is a proud member of Better Cotton, addressing cotton farming globally to incentivise improvement. Better Cotton trains farmers to use water efficiently, care for soil health and natural habitats, reduce use of the most harmful chemicals and respect workers’ rights and wellbeing.
