If you wish to change or cancel an order, please contact hello@shopthecurated.net as soon as possible.We cannot guarantee that an order can be amended or cancelled once processing has begun.Once an order has been dispatched, operational cancellation may no longer be possible.This does not affect any statutory cancellation rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

12. STATUTORY RIGHT TO CANCEL

If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you generally have the right to cancel your purchase without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving the goods, subject to applicable legal exceptions.You can exercise this right through our online returns process or by sending us another clear statement communicating your decision to cancel.After notifying us of your cancellation, the goods must be returned without undue delay and generally no later than 14 days after your notification.Nothing in these Terms restricts any statutory cancellation rights available to you under mandatory applicable consumer law.

13. CONDITION OF RETURNED PRODUCTS

You may inspect and try on a product as you reasonably would in a physical store.You may be responsible for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and fit of the product. Where permitted by applicable law, we may make an appropriate deduction from your refund for that diminished value.Returned products should therefore be:

  • unworn other than for reasonable fitting;
  • unwashed and unaltered;
  • undamaged;
  • free from stains, make-up, deodorant, fragrance, odours, pet hair or other marks or contamination;
  • returned with original tags and security ribbons attached where supplied; and
  • returned with accessories, garment bags and other components supplied with the product.

Products should be returned in their original packaging where reasonably possible, including any garment bags, protective packaging, boxes or other packaging supplied with the product.If the original shipping box is no longer suitable, the product must be securely packaged in appropriate protective packaging to prevent damage during return transit.Where inadequate packaging causes damage to or diminishes the value of a product, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund to the extent permitted by applicable law.Failure to use the original shipping box alone does not affect your statutory cancellation rights.

14. RETURN COSTS

For change-of-mind returns and statutory cancellations, customers are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods where permitted by applicable law and where they have been informed of that responsibility.Where The Curated provides a prepaid return service, the applicable return fee will be communicated through our Returns & Refunds Policy or returns process and may be deducted from your refund.Different rules apply where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise non-conforming and The Curated is legally responsible.

15. REFUNDS

Where you exercise your statutory cancellation right, reimbursement will be made without undue delay and within the timeframe required by applicable law.Where permitted by law, we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or you provide evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first.Refunds will ordinarily be issued to the original payment method.Where required by applicable law, if you cancel your entire order, we will also reimburse the cost of our least expensive standard outbound delivery option.If you selected a more expensive delivery service, such as express or premium shipping, the additional amount above our standard delivery cost will not be refunded.We may deduct an applicable prepaid return fee and make an appropriate deduction for diminished value where permitted by applicable law.Your bank, card issuer or payment provider may require additional time for the refund to appear in your account.

16. FAULTY OR NON-CONFORMING PRODUCTS

If you believe you have received a product that is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise non-conforming, please contact Customer Care at hello@shopthecurated.net.Your statutory rights relating to faulty and non-conforming products are separate from our change-of-mind returns policy.Where The Curated is legally responsible, we will bear the reasonable return costs required by applicable law.Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, the appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.Damage resulting from normal wear and tear, accident, improper care or misuse is not considered a product fault unless applicable law provides otherwise.

17. FAIR USE, FRAUD & ABUSE

We monitor transactions and returns to protect The Curated and our customers against fraud and misuse.Subject to applicable law, we may refuse future transactions, restrict services, require additional verification, or suspend or close accounts where we reasonably identify:

  • fraudulent activity;

  • excessive or abnormal return activity indicating misuse;
  • refund or chargeback abuse;
  • promotion misuse;
